RASC Side Cap

Royal Army Service Corps side cap, which is in fact Canadian made. Canadian made uniforms where also worn by British troops especially officers and senior NCO's. This example has had the Canadian buttons replaced with British general service buttons and a RASC cap badge added. It is named to a Sergeant W.M. Fisher and has his service number. The cap retains a nice clear makers stamp which gives the makers name as "National Hat Manufacturing Company" and size stamped 7.1/4. It also still has the Canadian War Department stamp and dated 1942.
