U.S. Army M1940 Service Tunic

Army M1940 service tunic which has the sleeve insignia of the 13th Air Force which operated in the Pacific theatre of operations. The right breast has the winged spread eagle which was award to all service personal who have been honourably discharged from military service. The award was sometimes called the "Ruptured Duck". The right lower sleeve has the Meritorious service unit badge and the left sleeve has three overseas service stripes indicating 18 months overseas service. The rank is of a Technician 5th Grade corporal. The tunic is missing its contract label however it is size stamped 38R.
