U.S. Army M1940 Service Tunic

A army M1940 service tunic with the unit sleeve patch of the Army Air Force. The collar of the tunic retains its disc insignia. The breast of the tunic has the winged eagle which was awarded for honourable discharge. The eagle was sometimes called the 'Ruptured Duck". The tunic retains its contract label, which gives the makers name "F.W.Bedford Clothing Co.Inc. The size 36L and the pattern dated 2nd July 1940 and the actual manufacturing date 1942.
