U.S. Army M1940 Service Tunic

Army M1940 service tunic with the rank of Staff Sergeant and the sleeve insignia of the 20th Air Force. The tunic is missing its collar insignia, however it has on the left sleeve one three year service strip. The right sleeve has the trade badge for a Radio Specialist. The tunic retains its. contract label, however the makers name is obscured. The size is 39S and has the pattern date 2nd July 1940 and the actual manufacturing date 11th March 1942. The right breast has the winged eagle awarded for honourable discharge and was sometimes called the 'Ruptured Duck".
