U.S. 101st Airborne ERDL Camouflage Jacket

The ERDL uniform was developed by the Engineer, Research, Development, department and was first issued to pathfinder and reconnaissance units. However in 1969 it was selected issue to frontline infantry companies. This example is in excellent condition retaining its original unit insignia 101st Airborne Division. The breast has the 'U.S. Army" tag and the original owners name tag. The contract and size labels are still attached and is size marked 'Medium-Lone". The contract label gives the makers name 'Elder MFG.C' and the actual date of manufacture which is 1968 ( 68-C ), making this example a rarer early production jacket. The majority of Vietnam era ERDL jackets available tend to be 1969 or 1970 dated.
