U.S. M4A2 Flak Helmet

A very good example of a M4A2 flak helmet, which was introduced in June 1944 and was designed for use by Bomber crews. It was smaller and more compact than the M3 flak helmet and more suitable for wear in confined spaces such as ball turret. This example retains its contract label which gives the manufacturers name Industrial Canvas Prod. Corp. The chinstrap appears to have been shortened.
