U.S. M1 Helmet

This is a actually a WW2 vintage helmet which has been period refurbished for use in Vietnam. The chinstrap has been replaced. The helmet has been personalised. The actual shell dates between October 1943 to October 1944 as this example has the stainless steel rim which was discontinued from October 1944. The liner is in excellent condition the liner straps and sweatband both DSA ( Defence Supply Agency ). The liner's straps are dated 1972. The leather sweatband is dated 1973.
