German S98/05 Bayonet & Frog

A S98/05 bayonet, more commonly known as the "Butcher Bayonet" due to distinctive bulbous point at the end of its blade. This example is dated 1915, has imperial proof markings ( Waffenampts ) in the form of the crown over the letter W. Which stands for Kaiser Wilhelm II. The ricasso is maker marked "Simpson & Co". The bayonet comes with a leather frog which is damaged and has faint makers stamp. The scabbard has also suffered with some damage. This is an age restricted item. Proof of age must be provided.
