U.S. M1 Carbine ( Pre-EU/UK Deactivation )

The M1 carbine was introduced in 1941 and was designed for use with machine gunners and mortar teams, drivers, clerks, cooks and other support troops. However the M1 became popular amongst infantry officers and senior NCO's. Early examples had a two aperture rear sight and no bayonet lug. However after 1945 the majority of M1 carbines where upgraded with a new rear ramp sight and a bayone lug fitted to accommadate the M4 bayonet. The M1 carbine continued to be used by the U.S. army Korean and Vietnam wars. This example was produced by one of the rarer manufacturers Buffalo Arms.Co and is dated September 1945 and has had the post 1945 upgrade. This is a pre-October 1995 and cocks and dry fires.
