U.S. M3 Submachine Gun ( Pre-EU/UK Deactivation )

For sale to customers outside the European Union Only. This is a pre-1995 deactivated M3 submachine gun with a full working action. The M3 is more commonly known as the Grease gun due to its resemblance to the vehicle greasing tool. The M3 was introduced in 1942. However it suffered with deficiencies due to the design, mainly the cocking handle which tended to break and the ejection port which proved to be too small. The M3 was upgraded with a enlarged ejection port and dust cover, a recess was added to the bolt to allow cocking by inserting a finger in the bolt's recess and simply pushing back. The pistol grip had a oil reserve added and the wire stock was slightly changed in shape. The upgraded M3 was designated the M3A1 and was introduced in 1944. It remained in service to the early 1990's and was the main personal weapon to Abram tank crews. This example has suffered with some corrosion mainly to the barrel and the barrel release bolt and magazine housing. The barrel bolt release spring is missing. It does retain its oil bottle attached to the side. It was produced by Guide lamp which was a division of General Motors. For Non EU Sales Only. However can be re-deactivated to the current EU specification. Please email before making purchase.
