For sale to customers outside the European Union Only. The Dreyse M1907 was designed by Hugo Schmeisser, who's name is associated with the WW2 MP40 submachine gun. Which he actually had nothing to do with. The gun was named after Nickolaus Von Dresye the inventer of the Dresye needle gun. The M1907's design was influence by John Brownings FN M1900, which the M1907 has a close resemblance too. The pistol was primarily used by Officers of the Imperial German army and the Austro-Hugnarian army. It continued to be used during WW2 especially by Wehrmacht officers. A number where also issued to the Volksgrenadiere and Volkssturm ( Home Guard ). It also became the service pistol of the Pope's Swiss guard who continued to use it to 1990 when it was finally replaced by Sig P225. This is an early production example which the left side is marked "Dresye" Rheinische Metallwaaren & Maschinenfabrik ABT.Sormmerda and dates to 1915/16. Later production examples are marked 'Dreyse Rheinmetal ABT.Sommerda". For Non EU Sales Only. However it can be re-deactivated to the current EU specification. Please email before making purchase.
