French MAB Model D Type II Pistol ( Pre-EU/UK Deactivation )

For sale to customers outside the European Union Only. The MAB Model D was produced by Manufacture d'Armes de Bayonne ( MAB ) from 1933 to 1982. There are two types of the pistol, Type 1 was produced from 1933 to 1945 and differs from the Type 2, which was produced from June 1945 to 1982. The Type 1 has a slide release catch just in front of the trigger guard. The Type 2 has a bush muzzle ring which you have to push down and twist to remove. The MAB model D was issued to the French army and Police before WW2. After WW2 it continued to be used by the French army, police and other governmental agencies. This example is in very good condition and has the letter 'D" prefix before the serial number which identifies the pistol being issued to the French Customs Agency known as 'Les Douanes". This example has also been falsely stamped with a Wehrmacht acceptance proof mark. For Non EU Sales Only. However can be re-deactivated to the current EU specification.
