U.S. M2 Jungle Medical Survival Kit & Contents

This is a M2 jungle survival kit which the pouch is dated 1945 and maker marked "J..A. Shoe" The upper pouch contains a two Gauze compressed bandages, one of which has been opened. The other still has its wrapping and is dated 30th September 1942, two packets of Sulfanileamide, toruniquet, Lodine swabs and a Carlisle bandage in its wrapping. This type of Carlisle field dressing was introduced in 1943. T The lower field dressing pouch contains a sealed Carlisle field dress tin in green.
