U.S. M1938 Map Case

This is M1938 map case which is maker marked S.Froehlich.Co and dated 1955. This example is in OD7 green and retains its plastic insert with red grid lines. The carrying strap is not the pattern normally issued with the M1938 map case but standard auxiliary shoulder strap. The M1938 map case continued to be issued during the Vietnam war.
