West German BGS Auxiliary Strap

This is a BGS ( Bundesgrenschutz-Federal Border Protection ) auxiliary strap for use with the zeltbahn ( shelter half ) or mess tins. The strap is identical to the leather pattern used by the Wehrmacht during WW2. The only difference is the date 1962 and the BGS marking.
