Extremely rare Flackentarn trousers, which was the first camouflage pattern used by the NVA and MDI and was issued from 1956 to 1967. The Flachentarn ( Area pattern ) camouflage is also known as Kartoffelmuster ( Patato pattern ) and Blumentarn ( Flower pattern ). The design of the Flachentarn was influenced by the wartime Soviet Amoeba camouflage pattern.
