East German Camouflage Jacket

This is the rarer camouflage jacket worn by the MDI and NVA in Flachenmuster ( Area pattern ) which was issued between 1956 to 1967. Flachenmuster is also known as Kartoffelmuster ( Patato pattern ) and Blumentarn ( Flower pattern ). Flachentarn camouflage pattern was influenced by the Soviet WW2 era Amoeba camouflage pattern. This example has had the sniper veil has been cut away and has a small hole in the lower left side. Otherwise it is in very good condition.It is NVA ( Nationale Volksarmee ) stamped and dated April 1959.
