German K98 Rifle. ( Pre-EU/UK Deactivation )
For sale to customers outside the European Union Only. This is a rare "G" code example. The G code was a year manufacture code for 1935. The secret year codes was used by Germany, when she was secretly re-arming in complete breech of the Treaty of Versailles which forbid Germany form re-arming. The treaty stated that Germany was not allowed to have an armoured or airforce and a limited size navy and army. By 1936 Germany under Hitler completely disregarded the Treaty of Versailles and started to physically date the majority of newly made equipment and weapons, with an actual year date. Resulting in the year letter code examples becoming quite rare and sort for. This example is not matching however it has been rebuilt with original parts all correct for the 1935 production. The manufactures code "S/147". is J.P.Sauer & Sohn. It is proof marked with Reichwehr pattern waffenampts which was used in condition with Third Reich periods to around 1938. For Non EU Sales. However it can be re-deactivated to the current EU specification. Please email before making purchase.
