U.S. M1 Carbine ( Pre-EU/UK Deactivation )
For sale to customers outside the European Union Only. The M1 Carbine was introduced in 1941 and was designed to use with machine gunners, mortar teams, drivers, clerks and other support troops. However the M1 Carbine became popular amongst infantry officers and senior NCO's. Early examples had a two aperture rear sight and no bayonet lug. However in late in 1944 the rear ramp sight and bayonet lug was introduced with the majority of wartime M1carbine's being upgraded with the new features after 1945. The M1 carbine continued to be used by the U.S. to the end of the Vietnam War. This example was manufactured by Underwood-Elliot-Fisher company which only produced M1 carbines during WW2. It has been fitted with the rear ramp sight. It also comes tiger striped camouflage on the furniture which was common for Vietnam. This example does not cock or dry fire, however the cocking handle does move under spring pressure. For Non EU Sales Only. However can be re-deactivated to the current EU specification.
