British Entrenching Tool & Carrier

An entrenching tool which the head is dated 1943 with the second pattern halve which has the bayonet leg attachment for the No4 bayonet. The halve is dated 1944 which makes this example quite rare as the majority of the existing 2nd pattern halves tend to be 1945 or post-war dated. The carrier is also dated 1944 and A.C. maker marked for Associated Cutters.
