British Paratroopers Denison Smock
This is a post-war made Dension smock worn by paratrooper and special forces. This is example is very similar to the WW2 pattern, main difference it has a slightly light camouflage pattern, elasticated cuffs which become standard. War time example where not made with elasticated cuffs. However troopers tend to cut their socks and attach them to the cuffs. The other difference is the colour of the Newey press studs. Wartime examples are brass, where post-war are chromed. However it still retains the half-zip which later examples had a full zip. This example is in very good condition, except for a minor hole on its left back. It still retains its tail, and contractors label. The label gives the size 7, manufacturer's name ' L.Silberstor & Sons.LTD and the date of production 1958.
