In 1938 the trigger was enlarged after the Imperial Japanese army's experience during the winter campaigns in Manchuria allowing the user to fire the weapon with gloves or mittens being worn. This example is one of the improved enlarge trigger versions, known as the "Winter Trigger" ,. The markings date this example's manufacture to September 1940 and was produced by the Kokubunji factory under the supervision of the Nagoya arsenal. For Non EU Sales Only.
