U.S. Variable Body Armour

A set of rare variable ceramic body armour which was introduced in 1968 and was mainly issued personal motorised , boat units and to troops in stationary stationary operations. The variable ceramic body armour was deemed to heavy 7.5 pounds to be issued to troops engaged in physically demanding duties. The plates both retains there contract labels which gives the contract date 1969 and the manufacturing date April 1970 and size marked Large.
