German M1930 Gas Mask & Canister

A good example of an M1930 gas mask which is dated 1941 and has the makers code "btc" for Honsel-Werke AG. The filter is an FE42 and is dated 1944 and retains all of its original finish and is maker marked "bwz" for Auer-Gesellschaft AG. The canister is dated 1942, also retaining most of its original finish and straps. This pattern canister was introduced in 1942 and is stamped on its base with the letter "D" which stands for Wasserdicht ( Water Tight ). It is also stamped with the makers three letter code "ebu" for Eckhardt & Co. The spare lens compartment still contains spare lenses in their original issue packet.
