German Bakelite Butter Dish

This is an orange bakelite butter dish originally designed to curry cooking fat or butter. However it was more often used to carry tobacco as it was water tight and would keep the tobacco dry. The top and bottom are maker maker marked "amh" for Hans Bullmann-werke.
