For sale to customers outside the European Union Only. This is Type 38 Arisaka rifle which was so named, as it was introduced in 1905. Which was the 38th year of the reign of Emperor Meiji and remained in production to 1945. This example's serial number dates the manufacturer between 1940 to 1945 and has the factory markings of the Howa Jyuko. The dust cover and cleaning rod are missing. It was common practice for the dust cover to be removed as it tended to rattle when the bolt was worked. This example has had the symbol of the Emperor in the form chrysanthemum grounded off, which was a face saving gesture when Japan surrendered in August 1945. For Non EU Sales Only.
