The pistol acquired its nick name "Victory Revolver" due to the letter "V" prefix before the serial number, which is only found and examples supplied to the United Kingdom. The barrel is marked with various patent dates. The frame has the Smith & Wesson logo and stamped "U.S. Property. For Non EU Sales Only. However can be re-deactivated to the current EU specification.
