British Deactivated L1A1 Self-Loading Rifle

This is 1958 dated L1A1 self-loading rifle more commonly known as the SLR. It officially replaced the No4 rifle in 1959 and remained in service with the British army to 1993, when it was replaced with the SA80. This example would have had originally wooden furniture which would have been replaced with black plastic during its service life. The upper and lower receivers are matching number and is Enfield made. The cocking handle is a 1963 dated replacement which is also Enfield made. This example is deactivated to the current EU/UK specification and has a moving bolt carrier under spring pressure. U.K. Sales Only
