Replica of John Waynes M1871 Colt Revolver ( Franklin Mint )

This is an exact replica of the M1871 single action revolver produced by Colt for John Wayne to commemorate his contribution to the Western films. It is exact in every detail. The body is nickel plated and extensively engraved with gold plating and bears the same serial number of the real revolver "151284. John Wayne's signature is engraved on the grip strap. The grips have a slight stained appearance which was actually soaked by John Wayne himself on the real revolver to create a stained look. The barrel also has an engraving of a stage coach which was the name of the film which propelled John Wayne to Hollywood stardom. The cylinder will not load any rounds, however it does have a full working action. It was first made available in to buy in 1992 for $450 ( £260 ) with a later version produced in 2007.
