Replica John Waynes M1911A1. ( Franklin Mint )

This is an exact replica of John Waynes commemorative M1911A1 which was given to John Wayne by Colt in recognition of his work in films in promoting the U.S. military. The replica was introduced by Franklin Mint in 1992 for $395 ( £250 ). It would have come with a display frame with the insignia of all four branches of the U.S. Military, Navy, Army, Airforce and Marine Corps. Unfortunately this example is missing its display case.
