German MG13 Sustain Fire Kit

This is sustain fire kit for the MG13 which can be secured to a fixed position. The kit contains four steel pins which could be driven into soft ground in order to anchor the gun on a sustained fire platform. There is a tubular stock to support the rear of the gun, this in turn slotted into a mounting for the rear of the gun which has a marked scale of degrees for accurate targeting. There is also a mount for the bipod to sit in. All the items are secured in a bag which made the kit compact and easy to carry. This example is actually a German/Portuguese contract from 1938 and has the Portuguese data plate on the rear mount.
