German S84/98 Cavalry Bayonet Frog

A cavalry bayonet frog, which differs from the standard bayonet frog, by having a pommel retaining strap. An order ( HV39C. No119 ) dated 25th January 1939 stated the cavalry frog could be issued to all troops. This example is missing a stud but in good condition with the leather still supple and the stitching is secure.
