For sale to customers outside the European Union Only. When the United States entered World War One, it had a rifle shortage. Since the U.S. had the production facilities for the British P14 rifle. The facilities where quickly redesigned to accept the standard American .30 M1906 cartridge, resulting in the Model 1917. In appearance it looks just like the British P14 rifle the only differences is the U.S. Model has different markings "Model of 1917 ", calibre ( British .303 ) and the U.S. models where not produced with long distance volley sights. This example was produced by Remington and has suffered water corrosion to the muzzle and foresight area. For Non EU Sales Only. However can be re-deactivated to the current EU specification.
