British Webley Fosebery Automatic Revolver ( Pre-EU/UK Deactivation )

For sale to customers outside the European Union Only. This is an extremely rare Webley Fosebery automatic revolver which was produced between 1901 to 1924 and was designed George Vincent Fosebery V.C. It was introduced at time when automatic pistols where coming into their own and the majority of arms manufacturers did not see a future with automatic revolvers, which where bulky compared to automatic pistols. However Webley viewed Fosebury's design ideal for cavalry troops. Unfortunately it was never accepted as official military side arm. But it was privately brought by British army officers and saw limited service in the Boer War and World War 1. When production ceased in 1924. Only 4750 units where produced. Norway, Spain and the U.S. also experimented with automatic revolvers during the same time period. However the Fosebery revolver was the first of its type to ever be produced. In 1997 the Italian firm Mateba produced a 357 magnum automatic revolver. For Non EU Sales Only. However can be re-deactivated to the current EU specification. Please email before making purchase.
