U.S. M1911 Pistol ( Pre-EU/UK Deactivation )

For sale to customers outside the European Union Only. This is a M1911 which the lower frame's serial number dates the production between May 1918 to April 1919. However the slide is an M1911A1 replacement as it does not have the Model of M1911 marking. The slide dates from 1942 or earlier as Colt omitted the patent dates from 1942 onwards. This makes sense as it has a post-WW2 German nitro-proof marking on the top of the left side of the trigger guard. and was probably put together from two separate guns and sold as a live gun on the West German market. The lower frame is also marked with the United States ordnance department inspectors stamp in the form of an eagle's head with the code S17 which was introduced on 15th May 1918 and was specific to the Springfield Ordnance district. The magazine is also post-WW1 as it does not have the lanyard loop. For non EU Sales Only. However it can be re-deactivated to the current EU specification. Please email before making purchase
