German Type 1 Artillery Drum Magazine

This is the rarer type 1 drum magazine for use with the artillery Luger. The magazine was introduced with the Artillery Luger in 1916 however the telescopic winding handle was difficult and complicated to produced which lead to the introduction of the type 2 magazine which replaced the winding handle with a simplified cheaper to produce flip out lever handle. This example is in excellent condition and comes with is two-piece dust cover which tends to be missing. It's serial number is 79727 and maker marked B/N for Bing of Nuremberg.
