British Army Tan Anti-Gas Cape

This is a tan rubberised anti-gas cape, which was also used as a rain cape. This example is in very good condition, maker marked "B.M.C." WD stamped and dated 1945. It appears to have been issued to a Greek soldier who's name is clearly visible.  read more

A very nice example of a pre-war army officers breeches, which are steel grey in colour and dated 1938 and stamped with the letter "E" before the date, which identifies the town of manufacture as "Erfurt". It appears the breeches may have been supplied to army depot in Bergen Norway, as it is stamped "Bergen". The high neck sweater was designed as part of the M1943 uniform. This example is actually post-war dated 1948. However it is identical to the war-time examples. The sweater retains it's contract label which gives the name of the manufacturer as "Rudolph Knitting Mills Inc" and dated 29th December 1945. This is an extremely nice example of a Royal Engineer officer's 1940 pattern battle dress blouse with the rank of captain. The red Gazelle formation badge is of the 13th Corps Head Quarters, which was adopted in the western desert.
