WW1 Imperial German Navy Cap

This is an extremely rare item which has come from a private collection and has been stamped so. The cap has had a minor repair on its crown, otherwise it is in extremely good condition. The cap band reads " MARINESTATION DER NORDSEE " ( Navy station North Sea ). The personal would either man shore based batteries or observation posts.
