U.S. Arctic Field Jacket

This is a rare Arctic field jacket which is similar in design to the M1941 field jacket but made of water and resistant twill, blanket lined and tightening tabs on the wrists and waist with buckles. This example has been period shortened. The zipper is missing the pull tab. However when buttoned up it is not noticeable that the zipper is not working. This is the M1943 Machinaw coat which was introduced on 19th April 1943 and differs from the earlier M1938 pattern by not having a blanket lined collar or a waist belt. This example has had a field repair and some fraying to the collar, otherwise it is in good condition. The contract label is missing however the size label is still attached, size 34.  read more

The M1938 Mackinaw was introduced in 1938 and was based on the WW1 pattern Mackinaw. This example is in in good condition, with just some fraying to the belt, which is normally missing and one of the buttons is missing. It does retain its contract label.
