German M1924 Stick Grenade Container

This is a metal container which would have held 15 M1924 stick grenades. However the M1924 stick grenade container was also utilised to carry other army munitions such is the case with this example which still retains the original stencilling "HEERES-MUNITIONS", DEAAM.GEW. 13.8KG" ( Army Munitions, not sure what DEAAM stands for but GEW is an abbreviation for Gewehr which means rifle ). The container has been post-war painted which is very similar to Yugoslavian army green. However the original finish with the stencilling is clearly visible.
