The MKIV .455 Webley revolver was introduced into the British Army in July 1899 and remained in production to December 1913 when it was replaced with the MKIV .455 revolver. The MKIV was the main service revolver for the British army during the Boer War ( 1899 to 1902 ). It also continued to be used during WW1 alongside the MKV and MKVI revolvers. This example is in very good condition dated 1906 and unit marked "CA/SAC" for Cape Auxiliary South African Constabulary, which was a paramilitary force set up in 1900 under the British army to police two independent Boer republics of Transvall and Orange Free state. The CA/SAC's first inspector-General was Major General Robert Baden-Powell founder of the worldwide Scout movement. For Non EU Sales Only.
