U.S. Special Flannel Shirt

This is an excellent example of the special flannel shirt which has anti-gas features. Buttons under the collar to attached the anti-gas hood, anti-gas internal chest flap and anti-gas sleeve gussets. This example retains its size and contract label which gives the name of the maker "Philip Jones Inc", The pattern date 21st April and the manufacturing date 5th November 1943. The shirt also has the rank of 1st Sergeant.
