Inert U.S. MKII Grenade

This is a pre-1943 U.S. MKII grenade, more commonly called the 'Pineapple Grenade" due to its resemblance to the said fruit. Early pineapple grenades where painted yellow. However from 1943 they where overpainted olive drab leaving a narrow yellow band. The MKII remained in service to the late 1960's and saw service during WW2, Korean and Vietnam wars.
