Inert U.S. MKII Fragmentation Grenade

This is an inert late WW2 era MKII fragmentation grenade. Pre-1943 made MKII's where painted bright yellow and and examples produced before 1941 and a screw cap on its base. After 1943 the grenades where over painted olive drab retaining a yellow band on the top. All new grenades produced from 1944 where just painted complete oliver drab. The MKII was more commonly called the "Pineapple Grenade" due to its resemblance of the said fruit. MKII continued to be used to 1969 ad saw service during, WW2, Korean and the Vietnam Wars. This example retains all of its late-war olive drab finish. The M10 fuse has suffered with some surface corrison . U.K. Sales Only.
