British P14 Rifle. ( Pre-EU/UK Deactivation )
For sale to customers outside the European Union Only. The P14 was introduced on 21st June 1916 and where all produced in the United States as a contract from the British government. However the rifles where not liked by British frontline troops as they found the P14 to long, badly balanced and cumbersome, especially when the bayonet was fitted. However it continued to be used to 1918. After WW1 the rifles where removed from service and put into storage. In 1940 with the threat of a German invasion and the creation of the Home Guard, the rifles wher taken out of storage and issued to Home Guard units. The British army finally declared the P14 obsolete in July 1947. This example is in extremely good condition, matching numbered and retains its volley sights. The majority of existing P14's tend to have had the volley sights removed. This example has the letter 'W" prefix before the serial number which identifies the manufacturer as Winchester. For Non EU Sales Only. However can be re-deactivated to the current EU specification. Please email before making purchase.
