U.S. Inert MKII Fragmentation Grenade
This is a early inert MKII fragmentation grenade more commonly referred to as the 'Pineapple Grenade" due to its resemblance to the said fruit. The grenade would have originally painted yellow, however from 1943 the grenades where painted green with a yellow band remaining. This example has lost most of its paint, however traces of the green and yellow do remain. Later examples do not have a screw plug on its base. This example has a 1936 dated fuse.
