British Air Raid Wardens MKII Helmet
A good example of a Home Defence MKII helmet worn by an Air Raid Warden identified by the white painted "W" on the front and rear of the helmet. The shell and liner are both dated 1939 and maker marked "BMB" for Briggs Motor Bodies. The liner is also size stamped 6.3/4. The inside of the shell retains its original army brown finish.
