British Home Defence MKII Helmet
This is a nice clean example of a home defence helmet which would have been worn by governmental employees such as factory workers employed by the Ministry of supply or the Ministry of Works. The helmet shell is maker marked J.S.S. for Joseph Sankey & Son and dated 1941. The liner is size stamped 6.1/2, and produced by Fisher Foil LTD. The liner appears to be dated 1948. read more

This is a combat vehicle crew ( CVC ) helmet which is complete with its microphone and earphones, However the earphones have outer cover has stated to disintegrate, revealing the fibre padding. The head straps have torn away with a partial strap remaining. Externally the helmet is sold retaining most of its original finish.
