British General Service Beret
This G.S. Beret was first introduced in September 1943 as a wartime measure to replace the G.S. Side cap. When the G.S. Beret was first introduced, it was dubbed "Cap Ridiculous", as it was not a popular item. However it was for universal wear and the troops got used to it.
