German K98 Rifle 1937 ( Pre-EU/UK Deactivation )

For sale to customers outside the European Union Only. A nice example of a 1937 dated K98 rifle, which is 70% matching numbers. The barrel, receiver, trigger guard, feeder and base plate, sling and muzzle bands are all matching numbered. The stock and bolt are not matching numbered. I suspect the rifle was damaged in service and the stock and bolt where period replaced. Especially the stock is correct for the date of the rifle. This example is maker marked 'S/42" for Mauser and has a number of Reichwehr and Third Reich era waffenampts which was common on pre-war made K98's as the Reichwehr proof marking continued to be used to the late 1930's in conjunction with the Third Reich proof marking.
